Dare and Jaycee got to see cousin RyRy and Vancie last Saturday. Since Darren isn't allowed to cross his eyes anymore (thanks for the advice Misty! :) he has now moved on to another silly form of expressing himself. He likes to make a pig nose along with making one on anyone that is in the picture with him. Poor Vance was his latest victim of the pig nose picture.
I got Darren to take a normal one with Van the Man and they both look so adorable!
Seriously, can this little man be any cuter! I do have to say, I think he looks so much like Mike its unbelievable!
And I have yet to see this new face that Ry has. Its her "cheese" smile.
And then she fell victim to the pic nose picture.
I am so glad that the kids are back. They started daycare with my sister in law so they get to see Darren and Jaycee everyday and just be kids again. They play so hard everyday that even Ryhin is asking for naps! They seem to be falling into a routine already. I am so thankful that Lisa has taken on another 2 kids so they can be with their cousins. More pictures and updates to come! If anyone wants to send pictures by email to me or a note to Ry or Vance, you can email me at carawillis926@msn.com and I will add it to their blog.

My Before
Today was a rough day. I took my little sister to rehab in Phoenix. Not only was it totally out of my comfort zone to drive that far into town, we were a little lost. The battery on my laptop is completely dead so I had no way to map quest the address. Me and Ash both agreed that eventually we would cross paths with one of the streets we were looking for so we drove. We finally found the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center after driving about 20 minutes in the exact opposite direction of where we needed to be. But we made it. I sat outside with Ash as she had one last cigarette before we went inside. As we walked to the door, I asked her if I could take her "Before" picture. She laughed and said no, but I begged. She decided it was okay and let me, then we went inside. I had so many questions: chances, clothes, prescriptions and will she be accepted. 3 hour intake, 1 hour interview. Breathalyzer and paperwork. I left. I hugged her goodbye and couldn't even look her in the eyes. I just cried. I walked back to my car and cried. I sent out a text to the family letting them know she was in and then I drove to work. I cant wait for the day when I can write about the "After." Until then, here is the before.

What a day.....
....to spend your 3rd birthday in the hospital. Hopefully R will get some much needed attention. And thank you to Deb for the last 2 months of taking care of them. You stepped in when no one else could. Thank you for getting them to a place where they can be kids for a while. All your help and support hasn't gone unnoticed.
Happy 3rd

Today, the start of something new
Today, Ashlee has agreed to get herself help. The start of something new. Today is her first overnight, alone. Everyone is thinking of her, hoping that she makes some changes for the better of herself, and her kids. They need her. R and V come home next weekend. R turns 3 tomorrow. We all wish she were here for us to celebrate with her. They have both been gone nearly 2 months now.
